July 2018 Chamber Chatter

Chamber Chatter is full of event details and business deals which aim to keep you in the know!

July 2018 Chamber Chatter from the Executive Director, Joe McCabe

The city council for the City of St. James again this year has instituted a, “Clean Up- Keep it Up”, campaign in the community.   As merchants, your front entryway, display windows and the area in back of your business sends a message to the residents of this community as well as the traveling public and potential customers.   If there is debris in front of your business, are you sending a message that the inside of your store and the items that you have displayed are also dirty? As the business community, let us show the city council and our customers that we care not only about our business district but also that we take pride in being part of a vibrant community.

Railroad Days is over except for the St. James Community Invitational Golf Scramble and Drop Ball Event.  The date for these events will be Friday, July 13th.  If you are a golfer or want to be a golfer you can contact Alison Elg at Pioneer Bank and she will set you up with a team.

Thank you to all who participated in the many events that took place during Railroad Days and to the numerous volunteers who helped make the events successful.

The City of St. James is accepting donations for the Annual Fireworks display that will be held on the 4th of July over St. James Lake.  Your donations are tax deductible and can be left at City Hall.

Welcome to the newest Chamber Member- the American Legion. Another place that you can spend your Chamber Bucks. The service clubs in our community add to the vitality of the this city.  Thanks for all that your organizations do!
