November 2018 Chamber Chatter

From the Desk of the Executive Director

We have already seen our first snow fall and the Christmas advertising will be in full force after the Election on November 6th.    The retailers committee of the Chamber has been meeting on a regular basis and we have selected the theme of “Twelve Days of Christmas” as this year’s Winter Carnival theme.  We will be using the Shopper and KXAX to promote the various events that we have scheduled, along with social media.   We hope you will participate in at least one event during the twelve days of Christmas.

November is a very busy month.   If you have not voted absentee, make sure that you vote on November 6th.  Every Vote Counts!  Honor the local Veterans on November 11th by attending the Veterans Supper at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post Home. Please join us at the ribbon cutting ceremony on November 14th for the Highway 4 project.  Check the website and the weekly chamber blast for more information.   Thanksgiving is November 22nd – we can be very thankful that we have a caring and giving community.  We are thankful for all of the volunteers that keep the Chamber a viable organization.

Reminder – your events are important and the community calendar is the best source of keeping up to date with the activities being held in the community.  Just contact the Chamber office if your business or organization is planning an event so that we can keep the general public informed of your event.
