From the Desk of the Executive Director
December is a very busy time of the year at the Chamber office. With the assistance of a great group of retailers and volunteers we have a fantastic Winter Carnival theme of, “Twelve Days of Christmas”. Promotions are being held throughout the retail community which needs the support of the residence. Only through the support of the area can our retailers survive in today’s internet marketing. We hope that all residents will take advantage of some of the events which will be taking place during the holiday season. Remember that Chamber Bucks make an excellent Christmas gift for that person that is difficult to provide a meaningful gift.
The staff is also getting ready to distribute the “Business of the Year” nomination forms. Watch for them and please provide your input. Staff is also working on the, “Freeze Your Caboose Off” event for February. With the closing of the Hickory we will be looking at a new route and hosting business. Suggestions are always welcome.
