Music in the Park Concert Series

The City of St. James and Watonwan County/St. James Library are teaming up to bring back MUSIC IN THE PARK Concert Series this summer! The concerts will be held in the bandshell in Memorial Park and each event will feature a food truck.  Bring your own lawn chair for comfortable seating and in case of inclement weather, our alternate site is the Princess Theater.

Our first concert is Thursday, June 15th @ 6 pm with Starfire performing golden oldies that everyone can sing along to.  The food truck for the evening will be Angela’s Egg Rolls and they will begin serving at 5:00.  There is no charge for the concert due to generous community donations but the food is pay as you order.

Here is the line up for the next concerts:

June 29th – Andrea Lyn is our former EDA Director and she performs some familiar and some original tunes.  The featured food truck is Taqueria Las 3 Lunas.

July 6th – Generation Gap is a duo featuring Ron Scheitel and his grandson Carter Quast of Mankato.  Ron is on keyboard and Carter plays guitar and sings popular songs.  The featured food truck is Lep’s Take Me Out.

July 20th – EZ Jazz is comprised of Madelia music teacher, Eric Zimmerman and his fellow jazz musicians.  Mayo Health System is providing a free meal for the evening as a thank you to the community.  The Spot will be selling snowcones.

We would like to thank our generous sponsors for allowing us to bring this music series back to our community!  Donations were provided by Tony Downs Foods, Pioneer Bank, St. James Sertoma Club, Bolton & Menk, First National Bank, Rotary Club, CVB, and Mayo Health Systems.
