Your membership with the Chamber unlocks many benefits!

PROMOTION:

• The Chamber office receives many inquiries for product and service information. We refer only our members that provide that product or service.
• Chamber members are listed in our online membership directory with detailed business information and links to websites and social media.
• Opportunities for event promotions, announcements, etc. via a weekly email sent from the Chamber
• Additional exposure via Facebook as we will share your announcements/deals/etc. on the Chamber’s Facebook page, up to 2 times per week
• The Convention and Visitors Bureau is part of the Chamber of Commerce—your membership enables marketing opportunities and exposure while attracting others to our community
• Brochure and/or business card visibility at the Chamber office
• In the last 3 years, over $200,000 have been spent in Chamber Bucks at member businesses. Chamber Bucks are a great way to encourage local spending!
• The Chamber will sell tickets for Chamber member events such as pancake breakfasts, concerts, etc. at no charge for the members
• Salutators program will welcome all new Chamber members, as well as acknowledge member businesses that have remodeled, moved, or are under new ownership. These ceremonies include a plaque and publicity in the Plaindealer.

SERVICES/PROGRAMS:

• Business After Hours monthly events are opportunities for Chamber members to network with other businesses in the community. It’s also an opportunity for the host to showcase their business.
• Professional development opportunities
• Chamber Bucks and Shop St. James 1^st initiatives are used to promote your business
• Discounted registration for educational and other special events
• Opportunities to join committees and task forces that help shape the future of our community
• The St. James Chamber is a member of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce which advocates for the business community regarding taxes, unemployment insurance, grants and aids for businesses on the state level.
• The Chamber works with the Convention and Visitors Bureau to promote tourism
• The Chamber collaborates with the City and the Economic Development Authority to promote business development
• The Chamber works locally, as well as at state and federal level to promote a business-friendly atmosphere.
