Fall is here!
Fall is officially here! October brings many Halloween and fall festivities for our community to enjoy. Meadowlark Prairie Outdoor Lab is hosting their 50th Anniversary Celebration October 7. The Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Halloween Trivia Night on Saturday, October 28 at the Eagles Club, and the St. James High School fall sports seasons are wrapping up their final regular season games/matches. On Monday, October 23 kids from birth-6th grade can enjoy participating in a fun Halloween parade throughout the downtown businesses! Your kids are invited to put on their costumes and meet at the parking lot across from the Police Station (the old City Hall). The Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors President, Sarahi Showalter, will lead the parade on the sidewalks throughout downtown! Businesses will be distributing candy and goodies to the kids—be sure to tell them thank you! The parade will end at Armstrong School where the Early Childhood Family Education fun-filled Halloween party awaits!
Come on out and support your community and, as always, you can find more events on the Community Calendar!
We also want to give a special shout-out to the manufacturing businesses within St. James! October is National Manufacturing Month and we are thankful for the job opportunities that manufacturing brings to our community. Manufacturing is the top industry in St. James!
